Memorial Behavior Health Mental Health Services is expanding their programs to better serve those in mental health crisis. Memorial's Behavioral Health is a team of peers and mental health professionals who provide immediate behavioral health support to individuals of all ages who are experiencing a mental health crisis within Christian, Logan, Mason, Menard, Sangamon, and Scott counties. Their team is improving their programs to serve all ages facing mental health crisis.
Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) is a program of Memorial Behavioral Health which helps connect those in crisis with community based support including outpatient behavioral health services, community resources and follow up aftercare. The MCR program is beginning on April 4, 2022. Also, they are launching 988 nationwide on July 16, 2022. 988 is a mental health and suicide Crisis Line that serves as the entry point for accessing crisis services. All calls are answered by trained mental health clinicians and will be dispatched to the Mobile Crisis Response Team. This will provide those in need with someone to talk to during a crisis. Also, the National Suicide Lifeline will be absorbed into 988. More details on the program and upcoming changes can be found on the following flyers and documents below and by checking out memorial.health. |
