May 28, June 25, July 23, August 27 and September 24 from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We hope you join us for each of these events! As residents begin to receive their tax bill, we would like to share the breakdown of where the money from your taxes goes. Your tax breakdown is as follows:
- #15 Wmsvle: 57% - #526 JC: 6% - Sangamon County: 10% - Williams RB: 4% - Williams Twp: 2% - Williamsville Corporation (Includes Library): 13% - Williamsville Fire Protection District: 5% Our public works department will resume their regular limb and leaf bag pickup schedule soon. Any limbs or leaf bags you would like picked up must be left near the curb (not in the street) early in the morning or the night before. Depending on their daily schedule, our public works department, may pick up first thing in the morning. Items brought to the curb after they have ran their route may not be picked up that day.
Also please remember, only limbs or grass clippings placed in paper leaf bags will be picked up. Trash bags, plastic bags, or leaf piles will not be picked up. Carter Street to the east: Monday Carter Street to the railroad tracks: Wednesday West of the railroad tracks and Knollwood: Friday Williamsville’s Memorial Day Service is scheduled for May 28th at 11:45 a.m. on the boulevard. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be moved to the Williamsville Community Center. Any changes to the service will be posted on the Village of Williamsville’s website.
We remember and honor all those that served and gave everything for our country. The sacrifice that was made will never be forgotten. Save the date for Picnic in the Park and the Fourth of July Celebration! The two events will be in conjunction with each other on July 2nd. Registration is $10 per team and is limited to the first 16 teams. We look forward to seeing you there! Williamsville's new lake, bordered by Route 66 was recently stocked with fish by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (DNR). DNR recommended to the Village of Williamsville to prohibit fishing in the lake until April 1, 2025 for the fish to mature and to benefit the lake. Per DNR's request, the Village of Williamsville passed an ordinance on April 24, 2023 at their board meeting prohibiting fishing at the new lake until April 1, 2025. Any person violating the ordinance will be subject to fines as follows: $100 for the first violation; $300 for the second violation; and $750 for the third and all subsequent violation.
