We are committed to serving our community to enhance the quality of life and to nurture public trust by holding ourselves to the highest standard of performance and ethics. Our officers are determined to serve as a deterrent to crime, develop relationships with community groups, residential and business organizations and promote an environment receptive to visitors and residents alike. The Williamsville Police Department has and shall continue to provide service of the highest quality to its community and to foster community partnerships in crime prevention.
Building Dedication
It was not until 2003 that the Williamsville Police Department secured a location dedicated solely for Law Enforcement purposes. This addition directly influenced the increased effectiveness and level of professionalism in regard to public safety and services provided by the Village of Williamsville. |
Online Crash Reports
The Williamsville Police Department has partnered with LexisNexis Command Solutions which will provide electronic crash reports to Officers and the community. Unfortunately crashes happen and it can be a stressful situation. Electronic crash reports help eliminate some stress. You spend less time on the road with the Officer, less time on the phone with the Insurance company, less time waiting for paperwork. At the crash scene all the information is gathered and put into an electronic form of the current paper form. The individuals involved get a printout of a driver's exchange with all the necessary information to start a claim with the insurance company. The insurance company, or the individuals involved can log on to a website and for a small fee, print a copy of their report. The button below will take you to the LexisNexis website where you can begin the free registration.
Programs and Services
Teen Court
The Williamsville Police Department is looking for High School students to serve as jury members on the local Teen Court. Service is 1 day a month and includes training (mock trials) and hearing cases from surrounding areas. Applications are available from school counselors. Please go to northcountyteencourt.com for more information. Police Ride Along Program Qualified citizens may ride along with police officers during their routine patrol. Anyone interested in the Ride Along Program must fill out a Ride Along Request Form. The applicant's signature on the form must be notarized (the Village Clerk can do this for you at the Village Hall). After a routine background check, which usually takes 2-4 weeks, applicants will be contacted. Once approved you need only to call and schedule a time to ride along with an officer that will be working on that given day. Vacation Checks If you are going out of town and would like the Williamsville Police to provide extra patrol for your house, complete Vacation Check Form and drop off at Village Hall. |
